Hwaii- Scuba Diving

SCUBA diving in Hawaii has been on my list of things I really want to do since high school. I enjoyed the little hookah diving that I got to do with the Carothers at Lake Powell and at 2000 Flushes out side of Cedar. Seeing fish under water and being able to breathe is really amazing. Hawaii was even better than I hoped. Sherry wasn't into and had the excuse of needed to watch Jade so I didn't make her go with me, maybe next time :)

There was life everywhere I looked.

The pictures don't really capture how vibrant it was.

It was windy the day we went diving and the guide was apologizing about the low visibility. Hah! The visibility at Lake Powell was about 4 feet!  This was amazing to me.

Sea turtles are bigger than they look in the pictures, and super friendly. But touching them is a $50,000 fine. So you keep your distance.

I hope to go again someday!

Hawaii- The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani

Thanks to our wonderful friend Crystal, we got to stay at the Sheraton Princess Kailani resort, across the street from Waikiki beach.

In the front of the hotel there was a little fish pond that Jade fell in love with.

They had a nice pool, that we never used. Did I mention that Waikiki beach was across the street?

We even got a room with a balcony! In the mornings Jade enjoyed watching the birds come eat crumbs.

Hawaii- The Honolulu Zoo

While I was SCUBA diving Sherry and Jade went to the Zoo, they had so much fun we wound up gong back together.

Of the amazing trees outside the zoo.

Hide from the smoke monster!

Jade loved the sculptures of the animals, cause' she could touch them :)

Putting sunscreen on her feet :)
