Cute Phone Dump

On our late summer evening walks, mommy made the kids "rabbits". Grandma used to make these for mommy when she was a little kid.

I love when they snuggle in bed. It usually doesn't last long before one of them starts crying, though.

Burritos or eggrolls?

On her way to joy school, ALL PINK!

While sis is in school, jack loved shopping with mommy at the grocery store. Such a boy.

Love Jack's face. He really doesn't know what to think about this. He only let her paint one nail before he decided it's not for him. :-)

They both like painting. I won't be surprised if Jade becomes an artist someday.

Give this girl some play dough, and you'll be her best friend. She loves playdough.

A Rainy Morning

It rains so much here. The kids love playing in the rain. Gosh they are good-looking :-)

Jack's First Haircut

I've always wished that Jack would have curly blond hair like baby daddy. After 18 months of waiting for nothing, daddy decided it's time to give him a cut. Daddy did a great job. He looks so grown up with the new cut. My handsome boy!

Meet the Firefighters

Usually we go to story time at the library on Fridays, but this particular Friday, it's even better. We got to meet the firefighters! It's the kids' first time. Jade was of course shy to shake hands with the firefighters. Jack was not. They showed us their gears and the importance of them. Then we went outside and the kids got to walk through and sit in the fire truck. It was pretty cool.
Grateful for these brave men/women who keep us safe.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

To celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, we invited our friends over and made mooncakes, read legends, folded origami lanterns, and ate lychee. I hope the kids will grow up loving both the American and the Chinese culture.

Our Praying Mantis

Mommy caught a praying mantis, and the kids took it as their first pet. Jade named it Unicorn. They went from being sacred of it to becoming friends with it. They played with it, built a home for it in a jar, caught bugs to feed it, and kept it for a few days. But Unicorn wasn't eating enough and needed to go back home. So we convinced Jade to let it go. Jade had a hard time, but she let it go. Even though she cried really hard after releasing it, she knew Unicorn was happy with its family :-) Maybe it's time to get a pet fish or something.

New Part-time Job

I'm going to teach an online course for BYU Idaho starting fall. We're grateful for the opportunity and the flexibility of the job. Hope it'll be a good experience, and I'll want to do it again in the future.
