Jade's 1st Week of Kindergarten

The Friday before the first week started, we went to the Kindergarten open house with Jade to meet her teacher and see her classroom. She met two Chinese girls she's very excited to have in her class. Hopefully she'll be able to improve her Chinese as she becomes friends with the girls. 

 Monday, 08/24/2015

Mommy took Jade in for half day and stayed there with her. The kids went to do some activities in the cafeteria while the parents stayed in the room for some teacher presentation. 

Tuesday, 08/25/2015

Mommy took Jade in for her assessment. The teacher told me she passed with flying colors. She was so brave and calm even though she fell on the ground and scraped her knee really bad before we went in. The nurse cleaned her up, gave her a bandaid, and she was ok. 

Friday, 08/28/2015

Jade didn't go in on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday was half day, but she had to go in on the bus. Luckily her best friend Jiwon was on the same bus to help her more comfortable. As the bus pulled up, she got a little nervous and hanged on to my legs. But she got over her nerves and got on the bus. So proud of her. I picked her up at noon from her class. 

Overall the first week went well. She seemed to like it. 

Jade's Birthday-Pool Party

Jade changed her mind last minute about her birthday cake. Luckily Frozen cakes are easy. We had another pool party for her. She had fun with all her friends despite the fact that Daddy wasn't able to play much because he was still recovering from his week-long pneumonia. 

Jade's Birthday Sleepover

Jade opened presents on her birthday morning. She was so excited for her sleepover with Jiwon! 

They stayed up till 11pm. She was so hyper that she was jumping up and down the couch yelling I wanna play! I had to literally pin her down. She fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow :-) I should have captured it on video when she opened her last gift: a matching pajama with Jiwon. She was screaming so hard with excitement. I've never seen her that excited. It was so worth the money! 

Jade's Birthday Week Celebration

Jade had a fun birthday week. She went to the mall with mommy. We watched Inside Out, did some shopping and ate some food. She picked out a toy from target (A Nurf Gun). We went to Irvine for Storytime. We went to the zoo with her best friend. We went to play in the river. She got her fifth year check up. And she had a fun sleepover and pool party with all her friends.
