National Aquarium

The kids each earned 4 free tickets to the National Aquarium at downtown Baltimore. We picked a rainy and cold Saturday afternoon and went for the first time. It was a cool experience. 

I think the jellyfish exhibit was everyone's favorite. We got to touch some of them too.  The Sharks were another highlight. We missed the dolphin training and had to go back another time to see it. We sat at the Splash zone and all got soaking wet by the dolphins! They didn't make a good first impression on Jack for sure :-) 

The kids also loved the little music park between the Aquarium and the parking garage. They insisted on playing there in the rain! We'll definitely go back again :-)  

Field Day

I volunteered at Jade's school Field Day! Jack had a good time sitting in the shade and eating popsicles. Jade had fun playing games with her friends. Even though her group lost in the tug-of-war, she had a fun time. 

Parent-Teacher Conference and School Art Show

I've never seen anyone so excited about parent-teacher conference! Jade always wants us to go talk to her teacher, probably because she knows the teacher only has good things to say :-) 

She's been making great progress in the past year. Based on the spring test, she's done super well. She has the highest reading score in her class, which we won't tell her until summer break:-) 

We went to her school art show and had fun seeing all the student work, especially Jade's. 

Jade's Recital: the Wizard of OZ

Another year of ballet and Tap, another four hours of recital! This time, Jade was front and center and knows exactly what she was doing! SO proud of her! 

 

 

Happy Mother's Day

There are two things I love to do: eating good food and taking pictures of my family. Naisi spoiled me for a whole week with some of the best Chinese foods, and John gave me a selfie stick so I can be in some of our family pictures:) I call this a great Mother's Day(week)!
