Black Locust

Today on the playground at Coppermine, I spotted black locust flowers, a flower from my childhood. When we were little, my bother and I would go out with a long hook and fetch tons of them. My mom would steam them or fry them and make yummy treats. They smell fragrant and taste sweet.
So Jade and I picked some. We made pancakes for dinner. Surprised all of us loved it.
Food brings back memories.

Mother's Day 2015

For mother's day, i made dumplings without kids bothering me :-) We went to the Patterson Park flea market and got some cute stuff for the kids. Kids had fun exploring the pagoda with daddy. Mommy had fun shopping around :-) Thanks daddy for the hand blender.

New Pasta Roller/Veggie Pasta

Daddy got mommy a pasta roller. So jade and I made veggie pastas. This time we made kale and beet pastas. We loved the roller and the pastas turned out great!
Thank you, daddy!

Flower Grass

We've been enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms around our house. But they are finally coming to the end of their life. Jade really loved playing in the "flower grass". We also enjoyed a few picnic lunches on the flower grass. Mommy did drop her cellphone on the cement while playing there. Luckily daddy got insurance for our phones. So mommy got a brand new one :-)

Jade's Ballet Recital

Jade's been dancing for a year and it's finally recital day. Her first recital cost us 5 dollars each and three hours! It was fun though. She really loved dancing on stage. Our favorite part was when she froze for a few seconds and just decided to look at the audience :-)
She really loved the tap dancers and wanted to sign up for tap next year.
Good show, Jade!
