Christmas week 2011
We had a fun Christmas week. First, we went to Temple Square to see the lights with Dave and Sarah. We also had a tasty dinner at an Italian restaurant. Jade loved the lights, even though her little hands were almost frozen because she had to point at everything!
We made banana bread muffins for John's coworkers and our neighbors this year. They always turn out good and they are easy to make.
We left on Tuesday to go visit mom and Paul for a few days. Jade did so great during the drive. She watched Qiaohu, ate oranges and crackers, read books, slept, played at McDonald's, and drove daddy's truck. She didn't even complain once, way out of our expectation :-)
Then at gram's, we ate yummy foods, played games, went off roading and enjoyed each other's company. Jade loved playing with Tinkerbell, using the home phones, bathing in the Jacuzzi, and shaking on gram's T-Zone :-) Well we all did :-)
We drove home Thursday to get ready to pick up Owen, Yoyo and their couple friends to spend Christmas with us. The four of them loved playing Majiang and losers had to cook dinner :-)
Christmas morning, Jade woke up an hour early than usual and started giggling and laughing in her bed. She must know it was Christmas! She wore her new dress daddy bought her for Christmas and it was so cute on her. I'll have to do another post about Christmas day and all the gift opening fun of 10 people.
After Christmas day, we dropped off the four young people at Tucano's and went to Pizza factory to use one of the gift cards we received for Christmas. It was yummy despite my new teeth work earlier that day.

Off roading in Southern Utah
We went down to visit John's parents in New Harmony the beginning of Christmas week. We went off roading while we were there. We had fun getting lost and finding our way. John's truck performed very well, and so did Jade :-) She managed to take a half hour nap on the bumpy roads :-) She also enjoyed walking on heavy snow. It was so nice in the mountains that day. We weren't even cold. It was a perfect getaway we needed before we had to come home to host Christmas for 10 people.
