Student loan free!!

This month we paid off all our student loans. It's going to be great to increase our savings accounts every month now:) To celebrate, we are going to Hawaii!!

5/14/2012 I became an American!

Four years and a few thousand dollars later, I'm an American. 

It's a long and expensive journey, but it's worth it. 

I can vote.

I can travel to many counties without a visa.

I can collect more of my tax benefits. 

I can apply for government jobs. 

 I can sponsor my family to have a green card.

As flawed as America is, there's no other country I would rather be a citizen of. 

Even though I would always be a Chinese at heart,

I am proud to be an American.

I'll continue to eat my vegetables, 

to save my money,

and to work hard.

The pictures were taken on the day of Oath Ceremony. 

It was a moving event. 

I'm thankful for everyone who came. 

When we all showed up in our American flag shirts, 

it was quite a scene. 

It made us remember it's a great privilege to be an American citizen. 

Jade was a super star that day. She entertained everyone on the stage :-)

Ironically, we went to my favorite Chinese restaurant to celebrate afterwards. 

I love China for many reasons, but

I'm so proud to be an American!

Mother's Day Weekend

 

 

We had a great Mother's Day weekend. 

I came home Thursday to these beautiful flowers.

I love them, but I'll have to set a budget for daddy next year. 

Then daddy surprised me with some nice GAP shirts. 

Again, budget control aside, I love the shirts. 

Friday we went to a nice green house and picked up 5 tomatoes to plant. 

It's a neat little place across from the Provo airport. 

Then we came home and planted the tomatoes. 

Well daddy planted the tomatoes; mommy and jade just sat there and watched while eating frozen yogurt :-) 

It was such a nice day, so we decided to kick off our BBQ season. 

We had the most tasty hamburgers for dinner!

The roses are blooming in the backyard. 

They are so pretty :-)

Happy Mother's Day to daddy! 

He got a year supply of Mother's Cookies :-)

Jade went to church in her nice summer dress that mommy forgot she had. 

We played Chinese cards for a whole hour. So fun!

 

Crystal and her friend came to visit. 

Jade learned to call her Gan ma (Godmother) and was attached to her.

She was very upset when Gan Ma left :-( 

Gan Ma brought some cute cute clothes for jade, as always. 

She spoils her too much!

 

Grandma came for mommy's Oath ceremony. 

She brought mommy a whole leg of lamb.

It was so delicious. 

Jade loved hanging out with grandma. 

I'm so blessed to be a mom, especially to the most beautiful daughter in the whole universe.
