Daddy's Christmas Break 2014

Daddy's 2-week long Christmas break started with our ward Christmas party. Mommy signed up to cook a ham. And since there were so much food, which is rare in this ward, we got to keep the ham :-) We split it with the missionaries. Merry Christmas to us :-)
Jade got sick Christmas Sunday and didn't make it to her primary program :-( Very sad. I did get a picture of her rehearsal from the week before though.
We did our December Primary Activity by making a blanket for the women shelter here in Baltimore. (Mommy and daddy are the Primary Activity Days leaders this year.) We had enough pizza to feed all the kids and adults at church. It was a fun night.
We went to see a cool Christmas train display in a mall. The kids loved it. We went to Arby's for lunch. The closet Arby's is 30 minutes away from us. So every time we go to Arby's, it's a big deal family event :-) Jack slept through the whole meal on mommy's lap. Jade and daddy had fun discussing why mommy didn't like root beer. It's because it tastes like Chinese medicine.
We went to Ikea to see Santa and have fun playing with nicely organized rooms. We could spend all day at Ikea. We love that place. Jade got a little shy with Santa, and Jack just froze and didn't say a thing. But it was fun :-) I got a picture. So it's all worth it.
Jade has been sick for a few days. I'm so glad daddy's home taking care of her. He's way better than mommy when it comes to caring for sick kids. I wonder why.
Can't wait for Christmas to come!!
