First Lost Tooth

Jade just lost her first tooth! The tooth has been loose for a few days. It happened she and Jack were playing dog and he dragged her around with a rope in her mouth. In church, while she was taking the bread sacrament, the tooth came out. She thought it was the crust of the bread and swallowed it.

When she realized what had happened she put her hands over her mouth and freaked out a little bit. Daddy took her in the bathroom and took a while to calm her down. She left a note to the tooth fairy before she went to bed tonight. I'm sure the tooth fairy will understand :-)

Update: This morning Jade woke me up at 7 and screamed, "Mommy, the Tooth Fairy came! She left me a note and some money! You know I used to think the Tooth Fairy is not real. You and Daddy are just trying to make me happy. But now I believe she's real! Should I write her a Thank you note?" Lol.  And the last picture shows Jade telling all her friends about the Tooth Fairy.

We've got a Reader!

All of a sudden, jade is reading now. She loves reading. I got her hooked on the Mo Willems books. She's always reading. She got a pizza coupon from school for being an advent reader. Mommy took her to lunch one day after her dentist appointment. We went across the street to the library and got more books while we waited for the pizza. Love her so much!

Christmas Village and Skating on the Harbor

We have been wanting to go to the German Village at the Harbor. We went this year. It was a little disappointing. Glad we didn't have to pay. But Jade did have fun skating with daddy for the first time. And we all enjoyed the joggler show on the harbor.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we hosted Thanksgiving in our house. We had some friends in the neighborhood and the missionaries over. Mommy figured out the easy and non-fail way to make the turkey. We'll stick to it for future years. We had so much desserts that we ate it for weeks afterwards. Happy Thanksgiving!
