BreadwinneR

Here's to celebrate that I'm no longer the breadwinner of the household. John got a job with Nuskin. It's even a job he likes. The schedule is perfect for us for the moment. Jade's up. I'll have to finish this post later :-)

...... 10 days later...

Wow it's been 10 days since I started this blog entry. I've been wanting to finish it and never had time. It's another proof how a baby ties you up. When she's sleeping, I've got soooo much to do and I often find myself debating whether to do all my chores or take a nap or catch up with my Asian dramas. I usually end up watching my dramas while doing chores. It's amazing how watching dramas relax me :-) It must be an Asian thing.

Ok, back to John's new job at Nuskin. He works a couple night shifts and 2 day shifts, so it works out for us nicely. When both of us are gone, Megan takes care of Jade since she only has evening classes this semester. She's such a blessing for us. She's great with Jade, she loves Jade and Jade loves being with her. Because of her, I'm able to still cook and clean and take a break. I don't know what I'm gonna do when she leaves for school out of state. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that she'll be accepted at BYU.

Another good thing about this Nuskin job is the benefit. Besides the usual insurance and stuff, I get free Nuskin products every month. So if any of you need skin care or vitamins, give me a call. I'll get them for you:-)

Life is hectic sometimes. When Jade is cranky and fussy at night, when I have to rock her and walk her around with a broken back and sleepy eyes, it's not fun. But when Jade smiles at me, everything is worth it! It's amazing how her sweet smiles sweep away all my complaints so fast.

We love our baby and we love our life. We're grateful for family and friends, especially for Megan who's so willing to help and so loving to Jade.

Happy General Conference!!

Sleeps like an angel!

Hanging with Megan Yiyi (Chinese for auntie)

This year for Mid-autumn Festival, we did Chinese hotpot.
These are some of the dishes we hotpotted (I coined this word). There are more. Our table is too small. John was like, "this is for the 4 of us? Holy moly!" Hey we're Chinese. We eat A LOT!

  1. Congrats John! It'll still be a long time before Tyson has an actual "job"...
