a plethora of fun pictures from this week

One of Jade's favorite time is after bath. She could roll around naked on mommy and daddy's bed for a good half hour. Until one day she peed our bed (luckily I had a blanket under her), now she has to wear a diaper shortly after the bath.

Did i tell you this girl loves fruit? Asian pear, yum!!

Doesn't this melt your heart?! Daddy's putting chapsticks on Jade because he lower lip seems to be dry. Sometimes she doesn't cooperate. Mommy usually puts it on her by kissing her :-) That seems to work better.

We're loving life. Can't wait to have spring here so we could BBQ in our own backyard!!!!

Who LOVES oranges!

Jade LOVES all kinds of fruits!!! Maybe it's because she ate A LOT when she was inside mommy.
Today while daddy's making fresh lemonade, and mommy's making Chinese sweet potato pancakes, jade devoured a whole mandarin orange. She was not happy when mommy took away the last bit of it from her. She actually screamed and had tears running down. She never does that when something is taken from her. That shows you how much she loves her orange :-)

Ever since Jade started to learn to stand, she's not content with just sitting and crawling any more. She would try to stand up whenever she gets something to hold on to. That's when we decided to get her a jumperoo and she seems to love it!

Can you tell we love taking pictures of jade? I've taken at least 2,000 pictures of her JUST on my iPhone!! I don't want to delete any picture because she just looks so cute in all of them!! Guess we'll have plenty pictures to pick from for her wedding presentation. Is it crazy that I'm already planning my 7 months' old daughter's wedding?! :-)

Daddy built Jade her 1st fort/tunnel

I love the many firsts Jade gets to experience in life.
Daddy built Jade her first fort, well more like a tunnel :-)

First, she was a little skeptical about it. She would get down there, but come out again.

Finally, she decided to take a leap of faith and go into the dark.

Good thing is daddy's smiling face is on the other side of the tunnel.

Ta-da!! Good job, Jade. We want you to remember mommy and daddy are always on the other side of the tunnel waiting for you, encouraging you, and loving you!!

jade's new tricks

One of the fun things of having a kid is to experience the joy of learning. Everyday Jade learns something new and we get to be happy with her. Here are a few things she's learned lately.

1. standing up in her crib. Now jade can usually fall asleep on her own after we rock her for a little bit and put her in her crib with her teddy bear. The other night, I put her down as usual and she wasn't making any noise. I went in to check on her to make sure she's covered and saw her doing this: standing up in her crib. I almost screamed, happy and scared. Happy that my little girl learned a new trick, but scared that she could've fallen out. Guess we've gotta lower the mattress now :-)


#2. Driving :-) Daddy went to the chiropractor the other day and jade waited in the car with mommy and learned how to turn the wheel :-) 

#3. finding toys in her toy box. She loves crawling on the floor in her room and dump all the toys out and play with each one of them. It's great that she can entertain herself. 

#4. eating oranges. One day I gave her an orange to suck on. Usually she can't get to it. But this time she actually ate half of it. John keeps telling me no fruit, vegies first. I don't think it'll be a problem, She'll love both :-) 

#5. getting into her laundry basket. I love how she always gets in but can't get out. She would roll around in it and eventually get frustrated and scream for help.

#6. playing with daddy's face. she really plays hard with John's face. This one time she scratched right under his eye and it almost bled. daddy cried about it for the whole evening :-)

#7. being social. jade's such a little social butterfly. she smiles and "talks" to people in church. today we were sitting next to two ladies in church. jade got tired of us and went over to play with the ladies and had lots of fun. Daddy thinks "we're like her old toys. she gets tired of us sometimes :-)"

#8. getting big. Her head is getting so big that the hats I made for her no longer fit. But she's still so cute in it :-)
