What? Am I an animal?

A conversation that just happened between me and John.
...
John: I just wish there were also cookies.
Sherry: You can eat plums, peaches, nectarines, pears, grapes or melons.
John: What? plums, peaches! Uncooked fruit? What?! Am I an animal? Why don't I just go eat something off the tree?
Sherry: That'll actually taste better!

Happy Anniversary, Dear! Another best year of my life :-)

I can't believe we've been married for 4 years! I asked John and he said ya that's about the right amount of time. We did share a lot of adventures together as a married couple. I'm happy and grateful with where we are now. I'm thankful for Heavenly Father's guidance and blessings in our life. 

At this point, John and I are both graduated. John works at NuSkin and I work at BYU and UVU, teaching some classes. I'm also teaching John and his friend Mark Chinese twice a week. I'm so glad he's interested to learn more Chinese and I'm sure it'll help him with his pursuit of the Foreign Service career. We are enjoying our life at this moment, and we also look forward to our future with the Foreign Service. 

We're mostly grateful for our awesome daughter Jade. She's so happy, healthy, smart, and beautiful. She learns everything fast and brings joy to our life every day. We're also grateful for Megan and Neil's help. Without them, we wouldn't be able to enjoy so many date nights, Chinese classes, and a break from Jade sometimes :-) 

We had a wonderful anniversary celebration. Pictures will tell :-) (John did the captions on the pictures.)

The Spa at Sundance. The place where I had the most relaxing hour of my life. I've had a few massages in my life, but this was bar far the best. 

Gourmet food at the Tree Room. Sherry and I watch a lot of Food Network TV shows. They are always eating and judging food that's at a level we'd never experienced. That all changed Wednesday night. This was an absolutely amazing  five course meal. I'm not sure regular food is going to cut it for me anymore. 

I'll never do my hair like this again...It's like I'm trying to look bald or something :P - John

Apparently me getting the door for Sherry is a picture worthy event. Perhaps I should do it more often...but then it might lose its significance:P

Jade's 1st haircut :-)

Since Jade won't let me put anything on her hair and her front hair is always in her eyes, I decided to cut it short. Daddy was sad Jade lost her high fashion hairstyle; mommy thinks her straight bang makes her very fashionable :-) Either way, she's stinkin' cute :-)

Jade loves her shoes. She would bring them to me and have me put them on for her and walk around the house in them. So cute.

She loves to watch us cook and always want to participate.

What's better than sushi? All you can eat sushi! What is better than All you can eat? All you can Eat competition!!! It's boys VS girls, and the boys don't even have a chance :-) 

We had to download an app to record our score. Too bad we didn't have an extra camera to capture the final score!

Jade at her one year appointment. Time to get her a doll cart :-)

Jade threw up for the 1st time as a result of getting 4 shots at her one year appointment. She had a bit fever before she went down for the night. She woke up after an hour, crying. I went in to pick her up, and she started coughing and then I felt some warm stream coming down my back. It was disgusting. I'm proud that daddy actually took a picture during all the mess. Daddy cleaned up jade, Megan cleaned up the floor, and mommy cleaned up herself. It was quite an experience.

We enjoy going on rides together to the duck pond.

Crystal's Visit

Jade's never-met Godmother Crystal came to visit from Philadelphia. As usual, she spoiled jade with more cute outfits, including a Halloween costume!!! We love it so much, but we're not going to put up pictures till Halloween :-) We wish Crystal lived closer so we could visit more often. 

Thanks for coming to visit us, Crystal. We loved having you here ad hope to see you again soon either in UT or Philadelphia!
