We had a very low-key baby blessing for Jade on a VERY special day 10/10/10. We only invited a few family members and friends, mom and Paul, Megan and Neil, the Hardings, Sister Rowe, Deanna, Cody and the kids, and Kate. John gave a beautiful and spiritual blessing for Jade. I'll have to write it down while I still remember some of it.It was a busy Sunday for John. He got a calling right before the blessing. He was called to be the 1st counselor in the Young Men's. He's excited about his new calling and I know he'll be such a blessing to those 5 young boys.
We came home right after Sacrament and John had to stay to meet the young men and get sustained after church. We came home and took lots of pictures with Jade in her blessing dress. Then she got tired of taking pictures and being in the fancy yet very uncomfortable dress, so we took it off before daddy got home. If you're wondering why there's no pictures of daddy with Jade, now you know. I am planning to get some professional family pictures taken when Jade's 100 days old. It's a big milestone for babies in China.
This picture of Megan, Neil and Jade makes me laugh. Don't they look like a happy family? Oh I can't wait for them to get married and have their own beautiful babies :-)
